We are a full-service agribusiness company providing expertise spanning from agricultural productivity to commodity marketing, and we exist to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers around the world. We facilitate the smallholder farmer to move from subsistence to farming as a business with a focus on high value crops. After enhancing the capacity of farmers to produce premium products, we provide access to global markets to assure sustainable incomes for farmers and their families.
We have a comprehensive view of the entire agricultural value chain enabling us to provide expertise across the spectrum. We have linkages with universities and research institutions enabling us to provide evidence-based solutions for today’s problems while tackling tomorrow’s challenges. As human beings, our future rests on healthy ecosystems; therefore, we are diligent about employing climate-smart approaches including agroecological principles and practices to conserve ecosystems while improving livelihoods.
We have a for-profit, and non-profit subsidiaries working together to enhance farmer access to knowledge, credit, tools, and technology to motivate and empower them to make the right choices to improve their livelihoods. Dr. Charles E. Owubah,
Cofounder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Owubah is a renowned international development expert with over 20 years of experience in the sector. He is a passionate humanitarian with extensive experience in program design, monitoring and evaluation of relief and development programs. He has deep technical expertise and analytical rigor in collaborating with local communities on food security programs across a global footprint. Having pursued his Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Ghana, Dr. Owubah earned his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Natural Resource Management and Policy from Purdue University, USA.
He was an academic before spending nearly 20 years at World Vision in roles of increasing responsibility, including Regional Vice President for East Africa from 2009 to 2014, and Vice President and Partnership Leader from 2014 to 2018. Besides being a member of prominent global nonprofit Boards, Dr. Owubah has also earned several honors. For example, in 2013, Dr. Owubah was honored with Purdue University’s Distinguished Agriculture Alumnus Award. Recently, Causeartist named Dr. Owubah as one of the top 25 nonprofit leaders who will impact the world in 2023.
Mr. Philip Mensah

Mr. Philip Mensah retired as the Deputy Commissioner, Legal Affairs and Treaties with the Ghana Revenue Authority. He has over 30 years of experience in the Legal Profession with specialisation in international trade, customs law and international taxation. He is a highly skilled Manager with extensive experience in project management, compliance, and enforcement.
Mr. Mensah served as one of the five (5) Commissioners for the Ghana International Trade Commission (GITC) 2018-2023. Philip privately owns a small (3.5 acres) dwarf coconut plantation and is also developing an 8-acre Timber plantation in the Eastern Region of Ghana near Adawso.
Dr. Charles Kwarteng Asafo-Adjei

Dr. Charles Kwarteng Asafo-Adjei is an accomplished civil engineer and a fellow of the Ghana Institutions of Engineering and the Institute of Construction Claim Practitioners. With over 30 years of experience in providing rural infrastructure and other civil engineering services, he has a distinguished career in his field.
Currently, Dr. Asafo-Adjei serves as the Deputy Director in the civil works unit of the General Services Department under the Ghana Cocoa Board, a position he has held since February 2015. In this role, he utilizes his extensive experience from the Ministry of Roads and Highways to provide technical advice to the Chief Executive and other top management on cocoa roads management in Ghana.
In addition to his work in Ghana, Dr. Asafo-Adjei has international exposure and experience working with the International Labour Organization in several African countries. Through this experience, he has gained expertise in creating jobs and engaging in civil engineering projects, with a focus on sound project management and capacity building on the use of labor-based technologies and methodologies. He is also an expert in the use of local resources, employment-intensive and investment programs, job optimization, and the use of public procurement to create decent work. He has developed a growing interest in creating agricultural jobs while promoting environmental sustainability to reduce the impact of climate change.
Throughout his career, Dr. Asafo-Adjei has contributed significantly to the field of civil engineering. He has held various top management positions and played a crucial role in the design and implementation of major international projects funded by the World Bank, Africa Development Bank, and other international development agencies. He also supervised the preparation of a reference document for labor-based project implementation, currently used for labor-based training and capacity building at the Koforidua Training Institute, during his time as the Principal of the Institute.
Dr. Asafo-Adjei’s commitment to continuous education and professional development is evident in his academic accomplishments. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Masters in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Transport Planning and Engineering, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Built Environment. His core values of hard work, honesty, commitment, and selflessness are evident in his career development, experiences gained, and successes achieved.
Nana Mensah Otoo

Nana Mensah Otoo is a lawyer specializing in international taxation in the field of Double Taxation Agreements, Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAP), exchange of information, international treatments, and writing persuasive briefs An exceptional Negotiator, deeply familiar with litigation (civil and criminal) and case management activities. Nana is currently in charge of International Agreements and Treaties, the Lead Negotiator for Ghana’s Double Taxation Agreements Negotiations Team and a Legal and Compliance Manager in Tax Matters and experienced secretary to Biosystem Livelihoods Services Limited. Nana has over 15 years of experience in taxation, insurance, legal research, corporate law, and quality assurance. Nana is a principal partner at Knight Legal Bureau, a private legal practitioners in Ghana, who are specialiased in Tax, Insurance Law, Administration of Estates Law, Corporate Law, Agribusiness, Family Law, General civil and Criminal Litigation, among others.
